Harper in Action

Some videos for your enjoyment! These were from our 18 week ultrasound and the nurse kept saying how feisty she was. She had to chase her down to get a good shot of her face! So crazy to see how active she is and STILL not feel anything! I should start to feel her practicing her high kicks soon though!

Wiggle Worm

Peek a Boo

Heartbeat and a Hiccup

She's a Feisty One!

Hawaii in Friendswood

      Tyler has been on this kick about "Our House Smell" every house has a distinct smell to it... and as of now ours smells like sawdust and paint. So we went round the corner to HEB and found ourselves standing down the smell good candle isle. Scratch and sniffing all the Glade plug in samples. He likes vanilla, I don't. I like lavender, he doesn't. We both like the clean linen smell, but it was kinda overwhelming and didn't want our house to smell like laundry all the time. Finally, there is was.. Hawaiian Breeze! The perfect fresh summer smell.

Next thing I know, Tyler was clearing the shelves of all the Hawaiian Breeze products. (Something you should know about Tyler.. When he makes his mind up to do something.. He does it. Not a lil bit...ALL THE WAY!) So we brought home all the products. Wall plug ins, the wax things you put in the little pot, the air spray, the linen spray, and the multi surface wood spray. So if you are looking to go on a vaca come to our house and you'll be in Hawaii!

This pic made me smile. It was Tyler's fortune from our Chinese lunch date the other day and it's so appropriate! (even tho I feel like our house is huge! not only will there be lots to clean, but more room for HAPPINESS!)

RODEO TIME YALL

I was always that kid in school that would sign up for extra credit, car washes, volunteer work, or for my mom to bring cupcakes for the class party. I have always been a Go Getter, a "Sign me Upper", if you will. I guess that isn't a bad thing which is why till this day I'm raising my hand and volunteering to do things.. Time or no time, I'll make it work. I signed myself up to be on a Rodeo committee (pre pregnancy) and low and behold they picked me! So my dear, sweet, blonde friend Caitlin and I have been working rodeo this month and Harper is getting her fix of country music. (While I enjoy a corndog or 2)!! So yes, I go from my full work day to Reliant Stadium to work the rodeo till about 10:30 then drive home to the burbs. I am exhausted, but I feel great. I have all my energy, I am helping to contribute to thousands of scholarships for kids, my baby is healthy, I get to see amazing concerts for free.. and nothing is slowing me down.
YOLO, right?!

Who knows, one day this could turn a full circle and Harper could win a rodeo scholarship to pay for her college!?! Your welcome Harps!! On another note, look at my cool badge. (not gonna lie, I feel PRETTAY LEGIT wearing this!) I'm a dork, I know!

Sick Hubby

     We have both been non stop between our full time jobs and then coming home to work on this house as much as we can. We are exhausted and Tyler is finally breaking down. He is NEVER sick!! His body is finally starting to shut down and trying to tell him "dude, you need some rest"! Hes been sick all week with the annoying sinus/allergies/swollen eye pressure/ headache/achy body flu stuff. Basically he needs meds, a bubble bath and bed. He has been so determined to get things done even if it means taking his toilet paper roll into Lowes with us for his snotty nose. (he made me hold it of course!) He is FOR SURE getting me ready for a sick baby. I am trying to be patient with him and be a good wife while get him what he needs.. meds, ice water,blanket, head and back rubs. Wives out there, ya feel me?

      In the end we have both learned something- Me: no matter how grown of a man he thinks he is, the moment he feels sick he becomes the biggest baby. Him: lesson learned of why you shouldn't buy cheap toilet paper in case you have to blow your nose with it!

DIY Projects

     I know this is silly, but hearing Tyler talk to his buddies about our "D-I-Y Project" is so cute.. just hearing him say D- I - Y makes me giggle... Anyways, we have been searching for ways to remodel on a budget. Most of our big stuff is done and now it's on to the little things. Little things that we don't wanna skimp out on, yet don't need to spend alot of money fixing.

     FOR EXAMPLE... lemme tell you about all our gross yellowish-white light and outlet covers that we have ALL over the house. We wanted to replace them with nice updated oil rubbed bronze fixtures. However, each one can range from $8-9 per fixture and we have about 40 throughout our whole house.. not even kidding! So my genius husband found this spray paint (I think he has secretly been on Pinterest!!) that you can spray these fixtures with.. Check out the pics.. We were SO excited at how they turned out.. We bought like 4 cans of the Oil Rubbed Bronze Spray (the middle one) and only used one can on the outlet fixtures. (enough for 2 coats, which you can see in the last pic they are darker) You can't even tell they are still plastic, yet we didn't have to fork out the extra expense for them all.

     After our surprising success with the light and outlet covers.. Ty looked at me with big eyes and said "Go find some more things we can spray"!!!!! So on the search I went.. I found this god awful yellowish cream door bell ringer cover thing and this random stairway light fixture that looks like it belongs on the Titanic!
     Went to town on these bad boys and they look good as new. I will take more pics once we hang them back up. I couldn't be around the spray paint fumes too long so we had to take a break and go eat! Momma bear was hungry! But seriously, what a difference, Right?!

* Pee'ing EVERY 5 min, headaches, dry skin & sneezing ALL the time
* Weigh in 107.4
* Feeling: WIDE.. very wide
*Green Apples - KitKats - Guacamole - Cold Baby Carrots

Week 17... One more week and we get to see our baby girl at her second anatomy scan. So looking forward to next week!! Stay Tuned. Until then, let's discuss these cray cray dreams!!! Like, some of this stuff makes me wake up actually believing it's all so real! And these hips of mine... I can tell they are getting wider for this baby girl cause every time I move or go to stand up I pop and crack like an old lady! I hope to start feeling her move soon!! On another note... she got her first teething toy from her "Auntie Steph"! I have a feeling this kid is gonna be REAL spoiled...

Slowly BUT Surely...

I tell you what.. This "remodeling" is for the birds! Yea, it's nice once it's all said and done, but saw dust, paint, blue tape and nails everywhere... over it. We have been staying at Tyler's parents house the last 2 weeks so I'm not around the smells and stuff of the house.
(SHOUT OUT to KK & Dirk for cooking us dinner every night.. LOVE YALL)
It's all starting to come together and it's very cool to see our "vision" come to life. The rooms have been painted, the wood has been laid in the master and my office and the stairs have been primed and painted. Still have a lot more to do...
Last night was our first night back at the house. We totally camped out with a mattress on the floor and a picnic on a blanket in our master bathroom. Newlywed style, TBell and ALL ... Class Class Class!
